Recipe Ingredients for Zweibelkuchen

1 teaspoon instant yeast
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup water, plus
1 tablespoon water
1 kg onion, peeled and cut into rings
400 g Sour Cream
3 eggs
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Zweibelkuchen

  1. Make dough according to recipe here: http://caloriecount.about.com/easy-peezy-breadmaker-pizza-dough-recipe-r766606

  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  3. Saute the onion 'rings' in a large skillet, until the onions are transparent, and soft. This should take about 10 minutes.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, the creme fraiche, the nutmeg, and pepper together with a whisk until well incorporated and smooth.

  5. Roll the dough out into a flat, large roasting pan (you want something with a slight edge to it) and then pour the onion mixture over the dough and spread it out to cover the dough evenly.

  6. Pour the egg-sour cream mixture over the top and put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
