Tasty zucchini in tomato sauce, much like the canned version, but healthier.

Recipe Ingredients for Zucchini in Tomato Sauce

14 oz tomato sauce
1 zucchini
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 tsp dried basil

Recipe Directions for Zucchini in Tomato Sauce

  1. Slice the zucchini into quarters, then slice those into uniform chunks.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan.

  3. Add the zucchini to the oil and sauté until tender, add the chopped garlic.

  4. Cook a little longer then add the tomato sauce and basil.

  5. Stir and heat until warmed.

  6. Serve.
