Zucchini casserole recipe with tomato sauce and turkey bacon. Healthy substitute for Southern food.

Recipe Ingredients for Zucchini Casserole

20 grams of turkey bacon (6 slices)
1 large onion, chopped
4 cups of sliced zucchini
8 ounces tomato sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
15 crackers, crushed
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Zucchini Casserole

  1. Fry bacon in a large skillet until just cooked but not crisp.

  2. Add onion and cook until onion is softened.

  3. Stir in zucchini and tomato sauce; season with salt and pepper.

  4. Pour zucchini mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole and sprinkle with crushed buttery crackers and Parmesan cheese.

  5. Cover and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly
