A new spin on an old favorite. Very low fat!

Recipe Ingredients for Zanti Currant Oatmeal Cookies

1/3 cup applesauce
1/4 cup splenda
1/4 cup blackstrap molasses
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup dried currants

Recipe Directions for Zanti Currant Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat your baking sheets with aluminum foil.

  2. Cream egg, splenda, molasses and vanilla extract together until well combined. Slowly stir in the remainder of the ingredients in order listed until well combined.

  3. Place dough in tablespoons on cookie sheets, 12 to a sheet and evenly spaced.

  4. Place in oven and bake 10-14 minutes, until lightly brown on the underside. Remove, cool and serve.
