Recipe Ingredients for Yummy Onion Turkey burgers

16 oz ground turkey breast, raw
1/4 cup green pepper
1/4 cup onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1/4 cup water

Recipe Directions for Yummy Onion Turkey burgers

  1. "Fried" onion topping:

  2. Spray pan with nonstick spray.

  3. Add onion slices and stir fry SLOWLY (lower heat) to carmelize, adding water a little at a time to keep things moving easily and slightly liquid. When lightly browned, remove onions from pan and set aside.

  4. Burgers:

  5. Run veggies and garlic through processor until finely minced.

  6. Combine with burger, add spices, and mix through completely.

  7. Form burger into 4 patties.

  8. Spray fry pan with Pam or equivalent

  9. Fry burgers, adding a little water as needed, You can put lid on to steam as well, which provides more juices. Best if allowed to brown, leaving bits of browned meat in pan. When cooked through, remove patties. Add onions back to burger pan and stir to combine leftover browned burger bits with onions.

  10. Serve onions over burgers.
