Recipe Ingredients for Yummy Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup raisins
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 T cinnamon
1/2 T nutmeg
1/3 cup applesauce
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2 T flax seed
1 egg
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped cashews
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Yummy Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Cream together softened butter, honey, applesauce, egg and vanilla.

  2. Mix dry ingredients together and stir gradually into wet. (Raisins should be soaked in warm water and drained first)

  3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet - use parchment paper to avoid sticking)

  4. Bake at 326 for 10 - 12 minutes.
