The yummy crunch to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Recipe Ingredients for Yummy Cole Slaw

20 oz Classic Cole Slaw
2 packages Ramen Noodles, Oriental
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup toasted almonds, slivered or sliced
1 cup sunflower seeds
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Yummy Cole Slaw

  1. Dressing

  2. Place the sugar, both ramen noodle seasoning packs, and the apple cider vinegar into a small saucepan and heat, on medium heat, until the sugar melts. Do not let this come to a boil or the sugar will make a hard glaze.

  3. Pour the dressing over the Cole Slaw that you have removed any large or brown piece from. Stir this around with a fork and spoon salad utensil set.

  4. Toast the almonds by melting 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter or margerine in a skillet and then add almonds. Stir this every 10 to 20 seconds until almonds are mostly light brown. Remove them from the skillet onto paper towels to pat and remove the butter/margarine and allow to dry. Crumble up the ramen noodles to make bitesize pieces. Add the almonds, ramen noodles, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds to the dressing coated Cole slaw 5 minutes before serving.

  5. Leftovers are good for only 1 day because the crunchy becomes soft after that.
