Recipe Ingredients for Yogurty Scones

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp butter
200 g silhouette yogurt
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 tbsp milk

Recipe Directions for Yogurty Scones

  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  2. Use pastry cutter to add in the COLD butter, until mixture resembles course crumbs.

  3. Mix in yogurt. At this point, you may also wish to add some of your favorite berries to make these scones even better (i.e. blueberries, raspberries, strawberries).

  4. Knead dough on lightly floured surface, into a rectangular shape.

  5. Fold dough into thirds (like a letter) and then press dough into a 9-inch round pan to get a perfectly round shape.

  6. Cut dough into 8 wedges. Place these wedges on a baking sheet (lined with parchement paper).

  7. Bake in the oven at 350C for 15 minutes.

  8. Whisk together icing sugar and milk, ratio may be altered to suit your desired icing consistency.

  9. Drizzle icing on scones while they are still warm.

  10. Cool scones on a wire rack and serve.
