Makes 12 servings



Healthy low-fat muffins with no oil. Use any flavor yogurt. You can also add 1/2 cup chopped fruit to the batter before pouring into the muffin tin.

Recipe Ingredients for Yogurt Muffins

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup nonfat yogurt (any flavor)
2 egg whites
1/3 cup applesauce (unsweetened)

Recipe Directions for Yogurt Muffins

  1. In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder and soda. Set aside.

  2. Beat together the yogurt, egg whites and applesauce. Stir this into the flour mixture just until blended.

  3. Pour into muffin tin and bake 20-25 minutes in preheated 350 F oven.
