Soft and fluffy. Egg wash the buns prior to baking for a glossy finish.

Recipe Ingredients for Yogurt buns

100 g all purpose flour
150 g whole wheat flour
15 g sugar
3 g active dry yeast
100 g Natural Yoghurt
60 g low fat milk
25 g egg
30 g unsalted butter

Recipe Directions for Yogurt buns

  1. Mix all dry ingredients in one large bowl.

  2. Put all wet ingredients and butter (except egg) in a small pot and warm it up over a stove until lukewarm. Remove from stove and whisk in egg.

  3. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and combine with hand and knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. Place in an oiled bowl. Let it rise until double in size.

  5. Punch down dough. Make 9 balls and place in baking dish (I used pyrex). Let double.

  6. Bake in a 337.5 F (170 C) preheated oven for 20 minutes.
