16 oz Yellow Split Peas
1 large Onions
2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
8 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 tbsp Salt, Table
1 tbsp Pepper, Black
1 oz Bay Leaves

Recipe Directions for Yellow Split Soup

  1. saute diced onion and celery

  2. add soaked split pea and spices

  3. saute for 2 min

  4. add 8 cups of water

  5. simmer for 2 hours or untill peas are tender
