Fluffy white biscuits. 1 Serving = 1 Biscuit

Recipe Ingredients for Yeast Biscuits

6 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1.25 tsp Yeast
2.5 cup White Flour, Unbleached
3 tsp Baking Powder
0.5 cup Butter
1 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat

Recipe Directions for Yeast Biscuits

  1. Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in 1/4 cup warm milk and sprinkle in yeast.

  2. Let stand for 10 minutes.

  3. Whisk together dry ingredients and rub in butter. Pour in milk and yeast mixture.

  4. Mix with a fork to make a soft wet dough.

  5. Turn out onto well floured surface and knead lightly.

  6. Pat into 3/4" thickness and cur out with flouted 2" cutter.

  7. Bake until golden, about 18 minutes.
