I work the night shift. When should I eat?

I work from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and I get my bedtime sleep from 4:30 PM when my husband comes home until 8:30 PM when I get up to get ready for work. My daughter naps in the late morning for about 1.5 hours. When should I be eating and exercising?
A reasonable meal schedule would be “breakfast” at 9:00 PM, “lunch” at 2:00 AM and “dinner” as 7:00 AM with little snacks in-between and at bedtime as needed. You could exercise in the late morning while your daughter naps. But, ideally, you would sleep for 8 hours between 12:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Sleep is important because lack of sleep and weight gain are closely related. Research shows that people who sleep four to five hours a night are 50 to 73% more likely to be obese. Perhaps you could to power nap with your daughter and push her in the stroller for exercise in the afternoon. Read about sleep and weight loss at About.com.
