A nice vegetable soup for a fall night.

Recipe Ingredients for Winter Vegetable Potage

2 cups kohlrabi
1 onion
1/4 c olive oil
1 leek
2 c celery
5 garlic cloves
1 jalapeno pepper
2 large carrots
2 c Savoy cabbage
2 potatoes
1 Fennell bulb
2 c Turnips
10 c Chicken broth
2 c Broccoli
2 c Celeriac

Recipe Directions for Winter Vegetable Potage

  1. In heavy pot heat olive oil over med heat, add chopped onion, leek,garlic, celery, jalapeno. Cook covered 30 min, stir occasionally

  2. Add chopped carrots,cabbage,potatoes, fennel, celeriac, white turnips, kohlrabi, broccoli, 1/4 c flat leaf parlsey, and enough broth to barely cover veg. Cover, bring to boil, reduce heat ot simmer and cook 30 min or until very tender.

  3. Puree soup, Food processor or hand held works well.

  4. Add desired amount to pot, and salt and pepper as desired, heat to simmer and add 1/4 milk or half and half per cup of soup (or as desired). Garnish with chives dollop of sour cream
