Filling tasty stew with lots of root veg. Can be made with beef, lamb or venison. Can also be made with celeriac and parnsips.

Recipe Ingredients for Winter peppered stew

500 g venison
125 ml red wine vinegar
900 ml water
225 g shallots
4 cloves garlic
1 onion
1 turnip
2 sweet peppers
2 1/2 carrots
4 potatoes

Recipe Directions for Winter peppered stew

  1. brown meat

  2. fry root veg, onion and garlic

  3. add potatoes

  4. add red wine vinegar

  5. add stock and lots of pepper

  6. in oven (180 degrees C) for 2 hours
