Recipe Ingredients for Winter Dinner

2 T coconut oil
1/2 c split peas
1/2 c lentils
1 c brown rice
2 carrots
1 clove garlic
2 stalks celery
1 onion
1 T marjoram
2 T sage
12 dried mushrooms, e.g. porcini, morels, etc
4 cups broth
2 cups water
2 zucchini

Recipe Directions for Winter Dinner

  1. Chop vegetables and mince garlic.

  2. Saute them in the oil until slightly softened.

  3. Rinse peas, lentils, and rice and add to the vegetables, stirring to coat.

  4. Add all other ingredients except zucchini and simmer 40 minutes.

  5. Chop zucchini, add, and simmer 10 more minutes.
