Family Style Chicken and Dumplings

Recipe Ingredients for Williams Family Chicken and Dumplings

16 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts
256 oz low sodium organic chicken broth
2 cups bisquick
2 cups flour
1 cup 2% milk
1 cup low sodium organic chicken broth
3 tbsp black pepper
1 pinch salt

Recipe Directions for Williams Family Chicken and Dumplings

  1. Cook chicken and shred or chop, set aside.

  2. Save broth for dumplings.

  3. Mix Bisquick, milk, salt, pepper, and 1 cup chicken broth together to make dough.

  4. Roll out onto floured surface and cut into 1 " strips.

  5. Bring saved chicken broth and 3 boxes of broth to a boil. Slowly add dumpling strips until you have used all dumpling dough. Additional broth may be added as needed.

  6. After all dumplings have cooked until plump and floating, add cooked chicken adn serve.
