Great Northern beans and root vegetables

Recipe Ingredients for Wilderness Soup

2 cups dried Great Northern beans
3 cups vegetable broth
1 tablespoon canola oil
3 peppercorns
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
6 carrots
3 yellow onions
6 russet potatoes
8 ounces tomato sauce
9 teaspoons brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Wilderness Soup

Soak beans overnight and drain. Also add in 3 bay leaves and 1 tablespoon NW seasoning and 1/16 teaspoon Indian hing and 6 cups water. Make sure to add tomato and salty ingredients at the end of the cooking time once the beans are soft enough. Cook on low in crock pot for about 8-12 hours.
