Recipe Ingredients for Wild Rice Pilaf with Turkey

1 T butter
1 cup celery
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup wild rice
16 ounces chicken broth
2 cups turkey
2 apples, chopped
1 cup carrots, peeled and cut into matchsticks
2 T parsley

Recipe Directions for Wild Rice Pilaf with Turkey

  1. In large skillet, melt margarine.

  2. Add celery and onion and cook about 10 minutes or until tender.

  3. Add uncooked wild rice; cook and stir for 3 minutes.

  4. Add broth. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer covered for 20 minutes.

  5. Stir in turkey, apples and carrots. Cook, uncovered for 3-4 minutes or until heated through and liquid is absorbed.

  6. Stir in parsley.
