Recipe Ingredients for Wild Rice with Cranberries and Apples

1 cup rice, uncooked
1 cup wild rice, uncooked
4 cups fat Free Chicken Broth
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup apple, diced
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Wild Rice with Cranberries and Apples

  1. Rinse and drain wild rice with cold water. Place wholegrain and wild rice in a large saucepan with the broth, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until rice is tender and broth is absorbed, about 45 minutes.

  2. Transfer rice to a large bowl and fold in cranberries, diced apple and walnuts. Serves 6-8.
