Filling, heavy bread rolls dotted generously with sweetcorn kernels and flavoured with extra virgin olive oil, thyme, oregano & paprika.

Recipe Ingredients for Wholewheat Corn Bread Rolls

305 g all-purpose flour
100 g wholewheat flour
7 g dry yeast
4 g salt
10 g white sugar
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp paprika
30 ml extra virgin olive oil
235 ml water, warm (approx 45C/190F)
125 g canned corn

Recipe Directions for Wholewheat Corn Bread Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 190C/375F.

  2. Combine flour, salt, sugar, herbs and paprika and yeast in a large bowl.

  3. Mix in oil, corn and warm water.

  4. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Form 6 rolls/buns with the dough and place them on the tray. You can arrange them in a 5 petalled flower if you like. Brush with very little olive oil.

  5. Bake for 1 hr
