Recipe Ingredients for Wholemeal Muffins - Basic Recipe

260 grams Flour
2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
2 medium Egg, Whole
1 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
32 grams Oil, Vegetable Safflower, Salad Or Cooking, Linoleic, (Over 70%)

Recipe Directions for Wholemeal Muffins - Basic Recipe

Mix the dry ingredients together and then mix the wet ones together ? beating the egg thoroughly. Then stir them all together and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees checking they are cooked with a skewer. You can add various ingredients to the muffin to give it a flavour. Things like sweetcorn, cheese, onion and bacon are popular options (not necessarily all in the same muffin). You can add fresh or dried herbs, salt and pepper, sun dried tomato, mustard, honey or paprika to enhance the flavour of your muffin. If you are cooking vegetables, meat or other ingredients to add to your muffin then make sure they are cool before you add them to the mixture as they could split the mixture and change the consistency of the muffin.
