5 medium bananas can be substituted with 3 bananas, but add 2 tbsp milk

Recipe Ingredients for Wholemeal Banana Cake

5 medium bananas
1 medium egg
1 1/2 cup wheat flour
3/4 cup sugar, brown
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp margarine

Recipe Directions for Wholemeal Banana Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  2. Lightly grease a loaf tin

  3. Beat margarine & sugar with electric beater

  4. Add egg, vanilla & mashed bananas, beat until well combined

  5. Combine flour, baking powder & cinnamon and gently fold into banana mixture

  6. (Add milk & fold)

  7. Spoon into prepared loaf tin

  8. Bake for 45 mins, or until a skewer comes out clean
