Soft, chewy, and just plain yummy!

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, unsalted
1 egg
1 egg white
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/4 c. white flour
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
2 T. sugar
2 t. cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

  1. Preheat to 400.

  2. Mix whole wheat flour, white flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.

  3. Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and egg white and continue creaming.

  4. Add flour mixture to egg and sugar, and beat.

  5. In a small bowl, mix additional sugar and cinnamon.

  6. Roll dough into balls by the tablespoon and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.

  7. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.

  8. Allow to cool on pan for approximately 2 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
