Trinidadian Breakfast flatbread of East Indian origin, usually served with vegetable curries. Similar to pitta bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole wheat sadha roti

0.5 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.5 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
0.25 tsp Baking Powder
0.67 grams Yeast
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
0.75 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Whole wheat sadha roti

  1. mix dry ingredients

  2. add warm water

  3. knead to soft dough

  4. rest 1/2 hour

  5. form into 2 balls and rest anothe 15mins to 1/2 hour

  6. roll into rounds and cook on a medium hot griddle until lightly brown and puffed

  7. turn over and cook other side til lightly brown

  8. push edges of roti off the edge of gruddle over fire to brown edges and make sure cooked through.

  9. cut into quarters to serve
