Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Pizza

1/4 oz yeast
1 cup water, warm
1 tbsp. honey
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. honey
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
1/4 cup tomato sauce
2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Pizza

  1. Mix yeast with warm water in a bowl

  2. Add honey. Let Stand for 10 Minutes.

  3. Mix in flour and form into dough ball.

  4. Place in a greased and floured bowl, loosely cover with a towel, and let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  5. Preheat oven to 450.

  6. Punch dough down and place on a counter covered with cornmeal or flour.

  7. Punch the dough into a flat circular shape to desired size, leaving a thicker portion along the edges to form the crust.

  8. Place the dough round on a greased and floured pan or pizza pan.

  9. Put the extra honey and olive oil into a small microwavable safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Mix and brush around the edge of the crust.

  10. Sprinkle the crust with Parmesan Cheese.

  11. Smear on tomato sauce and sprinkle mozzarella evenly onto crust.

  12. Add desired toppings.

  13. Bake at 450 for 15 to 20 minutes or until the crust is golden colored and the cheese is melted.

  14. Enjoy!
