Whole Wheat Pizza Dough Recipe

This recipe makes 4 medium/large pizzas. It freezes well so you can make it, bake one dough and freeze the other 3 in zip lock baggies.

Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat pizza dough

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 cups hot water
4 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons basil (optional)
4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Recipe Directions for whole wheat pizza dough

In a large electric mixer bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. add oil, salt, and basil. slowly add flour one cup at a time. kneed on low for about 3 minutes or until all the four has mixed into dough (on kitchen aid speed 2 is good) remove from bowl. Pray mixing bowl will Pam spay and put dough back in. let rise for 45 minutes to an hour. Place on floured surface. divide dough into 4 equal parts. you can now freeze as many doughs as you would like to, or bake them all for a dinner pizza party. Roll out dough as thick or thin as desired. bake on 375 for 10 minutes. remove dough from heat. Decorate with your favorite pizza toppings. bake for an additional 10 minutes or until your crust is golden and your cheese is melted.
