Makes 14 servings



Whole wheat pancakes from scratch. Especially good with strawberries instead of syrup. I counted each pancake as a serving, so if you eat four, log four servings.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Pancakes

1 tsp Leavening Agents, Baking Soda
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 tsp Salt, Table
2 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
2 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
2 tbsp Vinegar, Cider
4 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Pancakes

  1. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking power, sugar, and salt.

  2. Stir together milk, vinegar (or 2 cups buttermilk), oil, and eggs.

  3. Pour liquid mix into dry ingredients just until combined; do not overmix.

  4. Cook 1/3 cup batter per pancake on a griddle over medium high heat (375F, setting 3 on my stove) 2-3 minutes; flip and cook 1 minute.
