Whole wheat pancakes - lowfat Serving size - 2 ea 4" pancakes

Recipe Ingredients for Whole wheat pancakes

1/2 c Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 c Unbleached White Flour
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
1 Egg
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Recipe Directions for Whole wheat pancakes

  1. Stir together the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat the egg, milk and oil together. Add the liquids to the flour mixture and stir just until blended.

  2. Pour the batter onto a greased hot griddle. Serve with fresh fruit slices, unsweetened applesauce or low-calorie

  3. syrup. Makes 12 4-inch pancakes
