Whole Wheat Pancakes Recipe

Makes 4 servings



Wholesome whole wheat pancakes. Can be made the night before and refrigerated.

Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat pancakes

1 1/3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 1/4 cups 1% milk
3 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp canola oil
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg

Recipe Directions for whole wheat pancakes

  1. mix dry ingredients

  2. mix wet ingredients

  3. make a well in the dry ingredients and add wet ingredients to well in dry ingredients.

  4. Stir, but only enough to wet dry ingredients - leave mixture lumpy (key to light, fluffy pancakes)

  5. drop 1/4 cup measures onto hotplate and flip when edges are cooked and bubbles appear in middle.

  6. makes 10-12 pancakes
