Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Pancakes

1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 cup Flour
1 tbsp Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Skim Milk
1 tsp Cooking Oil
2 Egg Whites

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Pancakes

  1. Separate agg whites from yolks. Beat egg whites with a mixer until stiff peaks form.

  2. In a large bowl, combine both flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Stir in milk and oil.

  4. Fold in egg whites.

  5. Spray unheated griddle with nonstick coating. Preheat griddle over Medium heat. The griddle is ready when a sprinkle of water "dances."

  6. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle.

  7. Turn over when the pancakes have bubbly surfaces and dry edges. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
