Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Pancakes, Low-fat, 1 pancake

1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup water
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup pecans

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Pancakes, Low-fat, 1 pancake

  1. Sift all dry ingredients together.

  2. Add apple sauce and water and mix untill batter drips from spoon (but not too runny).

  3. Heat frying pan and spray with low-fat cooking spray.

  4. Dip your finger in some water and flick it onto the surface of the pan. If it sizzles, go for it

  5. Laddle about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan and let it cook until small bubbles form in the center. Flip.

  6. Keep completed pancakes warm in a preheated oven covered with a paper towel to keep the moisture in.

  7. Makes about 8 cakes.
