Recipe Ingredients for Whole wheat oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Whole wheat oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

  1. In a small bowl, combine the oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter with the applesauce and sugars. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until well blended.

  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients and beat until incorporated. Mix in chocolate chips.

  4. Drop by spoonful on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, until golden brown around the edges and just set.
