simple french toast made with Arnold double fiber bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat French Toast

8 slices Arnold Double Fiber Bread
4 extra large eggs
1/3 cup 1% milk
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp fresh ground nutmeg
1 tbsp allspice
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat French Toast

  1. preheat non-stick griddle to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice

  3. pour into shallow pan

  4. take part of butter and melt on griddle

  5. quick dip each side of a slice of bread into the mix, leaving no more than 3 seconds per side. Place immediately on hot griddle.

  6. Each side cooks approximately 3-5 minutes per side, make sure sides are dry and stiff.

  7. use butter as needed to grease griddle between batches.

  8. serve immediately. 1 serving = 2 slices of bread.
