Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat French Toast with apples

2 slices whole wheat bread
2 eggs, scrambled
1/4 cup milk
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 small apple
1 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat French Toast with apples

  1. Scramble eggs with milk, some ground cinnamon, 1 tsp brown sugar and a sprinkle of salt.

  2. Dip bread slices in scrambled egg mix

  3. Cook on non-stick pan (preferable with non-stick spray)

  4. Melt butter on a separate pan

  5. Cut apples into small chunks and cook in butter

  6. Add some ground cinnamon

  7. When almost ready, add brown sugar and mix until the apples are cooked to preferred texture and sugar/butter mix has turned into a caramel-like texture.

  8. Top french toast with apples, no syrup neccesary.
