use as sandwich bread or can be used as pizza dough if sugar is replaced with 1 tsp honey.

Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat french bread/pizza dough

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup white flour
1/4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp yeast, fast acting
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for whole wheat french bread/pizza dough

  1. mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast

  2. mix in hot water and knead for 10 minutes

  3. cover dough and let rest 10 minutes

  4. roll out into a rectangle

  5. like a jellyroll, roll dough tightly and when done, pinch ends and seam to seal and place on greased baking sheet

  6. cover and let rise for 1 hour

  7. optional: brush bread with eggwhite and water mix.

  8. bake at 425 F for 20-30 minutes
