Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Flax Bread

111 9/10 grams Honey, Strained Or Extracted
1 oz Yeast
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 cup(155 g) Flaxseed
1 cup Flour
388 4/5 grams Flour

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Flax Bread

  1. in a large mixing bowl combine 2 cups of the flour and the yeast, set aside. in a mdeium saucepan warm water, sweeter, butter/margarine and salt until just warm and margarine is nearly melted (if the liquid is too hot it'll kill the yeast). add liquid mixture to dry mixture and stir until incorporated. Add flour bit by bit until the dough comes together, save excess flour for kneading.

  2. turn dough out onto a floured surface. knead until dough is moderately stiff, smooth and elastic. shape dough into a ball. place in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. cover and let rise until doubled in volume. The warmer the area (no warmer than about 85 degrees), the faster the rise, the less complex the flavor. If you let it rise in the fridge, make sure to let it rest for a bit to approximate room temperature when you're ready to work it.

  3. Stick your fist in the middle of the risen dough, devide dough in half, form into shape of your choice and onto greased sheet or into greased pan. cover with a tea towel and let rise in a warm place (you've got the flavor by now) place until doubled in size (30-40 minutes).\

  4. bake in a 375 degree oven 35-40 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when you knock on the bottom.

  5. Let it cool before you slice into it.
