A bit of an adaptation of the Better Homes & Gardens recipe to add in the whole wheat flour. Light and delicious hot!

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

2 cups white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 cup butter
1 1/4 cups buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

  1. Stir together dry ingrediants

  2. Using pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs

  3. make a well, add buttermilk all at once. mix 'till just blended

  4. Drop by spoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Cook at 450 oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown
