Yummy whole wheat muffins even the kids will eat!

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins

1 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
2/3 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
3 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
4 tbsp brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins

  1. Mix dry ingredients in mixing bowl

  2. Mix together egg, milk, applesauce in separate bowl, pour over flour mixture and mix gently.

  3. Don't over beat - just until flour is wet

  4. Fold in chocolate chips.

  5. Spoon mixture into muffin cups and bake at 400 for about 15 minutes.

  6. Makes 12 muffins
