Tasted very good, but didn't raise as well as I'd like.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Buttermilk Biscuits

2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
6 tbsp butter, soft
2/3 cup skim milk
1 tbsp vinegar

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Buttermilk Biscuits

Preheat to 450 degrees. Add vinegar to milk, let set 5 minutes. Whisk dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Add enough milk/vinegar (a buttermilk substitute) to make soft dough. Stir just enough to dampen. Knead on floured surface a couple times. Pat to 1/2 inch thick. Cut. 12-15 minutes on ungreased baking sheet. For drop biscuits, use more buttermilk substitute to make a softer dough. Drop by tablespoon onto sheet.
