Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

This recipe is for a bread machine but I made it the traditional way and it came out fantastic

Recipe Ingredients for Whole wheat bread

1 1/8 cup warm water
3 tablespoons honey
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup bread flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Recipe Directions for Whole wheat bread

  1. mix water and yeast and set aside

  2. mix all other ingredients in a large mixing bowl

  3. add water mixture and stir

  4. fold out on a floured surface and kneed until a soft dough is formed

  5. place in a greased loaf pan (I use cooking spray)

  6. let rise until double in size (about 1-2 hours)

  7. punch down and place back in loaf pan let rise again (about 45 mins.)

  8. bake at 375 degrees about 30 mins (will be brown on top)

  9. enjoy!
