Makes one 2 lb. loaf, two 1 lb. loaves, four 1/2 lb. loaves, or about 16 rolls.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Bread

1 1/2 cups hot water
1 package yeast
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup flax seed
4 cups wheat flour

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Bread

Mix water and yeast, stir, let rest, then add other ingredients, saving flour for last. Add, then mix til sticky. Turn out and add a little flour, knead to a ball (11 minutes) divide into two, put in greased bowl and turn. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hr, 15 min. Let rest 10 minutes. Punch down, divide into loaves or buns on greased pan or parchment-lined pan and let rise 30 minutes. Cook 30 min @ 350 degrees, cool 10 minutes, place on rack to cool afterwards.
