Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat bread

3 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup molasses
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup water
1 1/2 pack active dry yeast
1 1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for whole wheat bread

  1. Mix water and milk and heat until 100*-115*. Add molasses and oil and yeast. Stir and let set about 5 minutes to proof(foamy)

  2. mix into the flour and salt until dough ball forms. I use a dough hook on the food processor and once the ball forms, run it 45-50 seconds.

  3. Place in grease bowl, cover with warm, moist towel and let double in size, about 1-1 1/2 hours. punch down, place in greased loaf pan, cover again and let rise 1 hour.

  4. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Cover with foil to prevent darkening. Bake another 20 minutes or so. Turn out of pan, gently rub butter on top and let cool for 30 minutes and wrap.
