Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat bread

2 tbsp dry yeast
1/2 cup water
5 cups water
2 tbsp salt
1/4 cup oil
2/3 cup honey
12 cups whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for whole wheat bread

In small bowl, mix yeast and lukewarm water. Proof with a pinch of sugar. Set aside. I a very large bowl, mix 5 cups hot tap water with 7 cups flour until well blended. Add salt, oil and honey. Blend well. Add 1 cup flour, blend well. Add yeast and blend well. Add the rest of the flour while kneading. Knead dough for 5 to 10 minutes. Divide into 4 loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise until double, about an hour. bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes. Turn out of pans immediately to cool. Makes 4 loaves.
