Whole wheat / white flour bread. Yummy!

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Bread (50/50)

190 g whole wheat flour
195 g white bread flour
1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
265 ml water

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Bread (50/50)

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, yeast and salt in a bowl

  2. Add water, honey and oil (warmed up a bit), stir til smooth

  3. Add white flour a bit at a time until the dough comes away from the side of the bowl, stirring with a wooden spoon

  4. Transfer to board, add in white flour as needed, knead for 8 minutes

  5. Form dough into a ball, transfer to oiled bowl, cover w/ towel and let rise until 2X in size (~ 2 hours)

  6. Transfer dough back to board, punch down and form into a sandwich loaf.

  7. Put dough seam side down in 9X5 loaf pan. Let rise until 2X in size.

  8. Bake 350 ~45 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when tapped on the underside.
