Recipe Ingredients for whole-wheat biscuits

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 cup unsalted butter
3/8 cup milk

Recipe Directions for whole-wheat biscuits

  1. preheat oven to 450 degrees

  2. mix flours, baking powder and salt

  3. cut in butter until particles are fine

  4. stir in milk just until mixture is moistened and dough forms

  5. knead on floured surface about 10 times

  6. roll or pat to 1/2 inch thickness

  7. cut into rounds with 2-inch cutter

  8. place on ungreased baking sheet

  9. bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown

  10. serve hot
