Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Biscuits

2 cups whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
12 g. brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup milk

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Biscuits

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flours, baking powder, sugar, and salt; mix well.

  2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened.

  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 8 to 10 times.

  4. Roll to 3/4-in. thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter and place on an ungreased baking sheet.

  5. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
