Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Berry Pancakes

4 large strawberries
1 cup whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 large egg
1 cup 1% fat milk,
1 tablespoon canola oil

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Berry Pancakes

  1. Wash, dry and cut strawberries into to small pieces.

  2. Mix ?dry? ingredients (whole wheat flour, salt, baking soda) in a large bowl.

  3. Wisk ?wet? ingredients (egg, orange juice, oil) together.

  4. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined.

  5. Stir in the strawberries.

  6. Heat skillet to medium high then lightly spray with cooking spray.

  7. Spoon batter using a 1/4-cup dry measure into skillet.

  8. Turn pancakes over when bubbles in pancakes pop.

  9. Remove when done, about 1 minute.
