Recipe Ingredients for whole wheat banana bread

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup unbleached flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup banana, mashed
1/4 cup fat free yogurt

Recipe Directions for whole wheat banana bread

  1. grease bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of an 8x4 inch loaf pan. preheat oven to 350.

  2. mix flours, baking soda, powder, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. make well in center, set aside.

  3. mash bananas, add egg, sugar, and yogurt, stir until combined. add all at once to flour mixture stir just until combined, do not over-mix.

  4. pour into loaf pan and bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. allow to cool 10 minutes in pan then remove and finish cooling on rack.
