Recipe Ingredients for Whole Wheat Baguette

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cups water
1 tablespoon yeast

Recipe Directions for Whole Wheat Baguette

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

  2. Let yeast dissolve in the water (warm) for 15 minutes

  3. Add flour to water, mix to form a dough

  4. Let dough rise for 30 minutes

  5. Carefully put dough on a floured surface and flatten out to about 8 x 15

  6. If desired, press some herbs into the dough

  7. Gently roll the dough into a loaf, place onto a greased cookie sheet

  8. Let the dough rise for 30 more minutes

  9. Bake for about 20 minutes
